We have found and tested for you the 11 best, sometimes traditional, desserts from all around the world that are a must-try for any good traveler out there craving for some sweetness.

France - Paris-Brest

Created in 1910,  the "Paris-Brest" is a French dessert originally made to commemorate the Paris-Brest cycle race that begun i  1891. Its rounded shape comes from the rounded shape of a cycle wheel.


Spain Churros


One would say, it comes from Spain, other would disagree with it, the Churros is a fried-dough pastry often found sold by street vendors any time of the day. Topped with melted chocolate or sparkled with sugar, Churros is an amazing snack/breakfast/merienda to enjoy!


Morocco Chebakia


The Chebakia is the most famous traditional pastry found in Morocco. They are often during big or special occasions such as the holy month of Ramadan, due to its high level of calories. Disgusted with a traditional hot mint tea, the pastry is a true wonder.

UAE - Atayef


Originated from middle eastern countries, Atayef is a pancake traditionally stuffed with a cheese or nut filling, sparkled with nuts and served with a simple syrup, and . Traditionally served during Ramadan, this pastry still can be found sold by street vendors

South Korea - Patbingsu

One of the most popular dessert during summer, Patbinsu is a Korean shaved ice dessert topped with chopped fruits, fruits syrups, rice cakes, sweet red beans, and a sweet condensed milk.


India - Gulab jamun


Famous South Asian pastry, Gylan Jamun is a sweet made of milk-slid that were deep fried then soaked in a light sugary syrup full of flavor.

Venezuela - Bien me sabe


Also known as the Coconut Cream cake, the Bien Me Sabe is a very moist and sweet sponge cake that is topped with meringue and coconut. It is traditional and very famous pastry in the country


Canada - Nanaimo Bars


Originated from the city of Nainamo, located on Vancouver Island , the Nainamo Bar is a creamy treat. Made with a crumb-based layer, topped with custar cream that is also topped with melted chocolate. A must eat for any traveler heading to Canada.

Hong Kong - Egg tart

The famous egg tart was popularized in HK in the 1940 and got its origins from the British custard pie. One cannot go to Hong Kong without tasting this must to be eaten pastry! Found in many bakeries, it is THE tea-time dessert to enjoy there. Best when served hot!


Turkey - Baklava

The Blaklava is said to be originated from Turkey. It is made of nuts, phyllo, and syrup or honey. At the time it was considered as a special dessert, and a luxury not so affordable. Baklava is the pastry to try!


Russia - Medovik

The Medovik is one of the most favorite and popular honey pastry in Russia made with honey cake layers filled with cream in between. A must try for any honey lover, but only.
